Privacy Policy
Ember SEO · Last updated: July 2026
Who we are
Ember SEO is operated by CyberXchange Pty Ltd (ACN 677 109 518), based in Adelaide, South Australia. Our principal contact is Dave Bock at hello@emberseo.au.
What we collect and why
When you request a scan, we collect:
- The website URL you give us — to fetch and analyse the publicly available pages of that site. We only look at what's publicly accessible; we don't attempt to access logins, admin areas, or anything not visible to a normal visitor.
- Your name and email address — to deliver your audit report and, if relevant, to let you know when the full product launches.
We don't ask for a credit card to run a free scan. We don't use your data to train AI models.
How your data is used
Your website URL is used to produce your audit report. Your name and email are used to send you that report and, unless you opt out, occasional updates about Ember SEO — including when the paid product goes live. You can unsubscribe at any time, no questions asked.
If Ember SEO becomes a paid, subscribed service and you sign up, we'll hold the audit history and account data needed to run your monthly rescans. That data is yours — you can ask us to export or delete it.
Where your data is processed
Ember SEO is built and operated from Australia. Producing your report involves sending relevant page content to our AI provider, Anthropic, which processes it in the United States. We do not claim Australian data residency — if your business has a hard requirement to keep data within Australia, contact us before running a scan and we'll let you know whether we can accommodate it.
Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent for processing is not used to train their models. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it to train any models of our own.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses minimal analytics to understand how visitors interact with it — page views and general traffic patterns. We don't use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (and applicable Australian Privacy Principles), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your information
- Withdraw consent to ongoing communications
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@emberseo.au. We'll respond within a reasonable time and, in any case, within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product develops — particularly around launch, when the paid subscription goes live. Material changes will be noted here with a revised date.
